Hi

Has anyone build a indoor arena in the last year in Ireland. I've come into some money and decided this project for the money. I would like to start livery on my yard and feel this be a good assest.

You'd need to get a contractor out to view the site and quote. It will depend on location, how much needs digging out, how big you want it, surface etc etc

Not sure about Ireland but in the UK I don't think you'd get much change from £150K for a 20x40m.
But to get an accurate quote for your own location all you can do is ring around. Steel work companies for the barn, ground works companies and then your surface. Some may do one or more of the former. And an electrician if you want lights.
Obviously need to add planning permission costs in and an indoor will almost certainly vastly increase business rates so that should also be taken into account.

Our RDA's quote to build a 25 x 45 onto our existing one is astronomical. Steels (and other materials) have gone up hugely in price. It's now unfeasible to pursue & we are looking at expanding the outdoor instead.

I work I construction (UK) and can confirm that materials like steel, block & cladding have risen dramatically in price since covid and aren't coming down.

We've built some steel clad "sheds" for Engineering companies so they have concrete floor and more services but they were all over 500k. Your build would be simpler but I wouldn't even hazard a guess, including services & surface, at the price.

But yes, planning and quote. You'll probably also need to engage with an engineer for drawings and calcs.
