building a school -going rate for labour costs?

hi all

my friend is building a school, shes bought the post and rail and the woodchip but has does anyone know what you would pay a builder or such like to do it? its a 30x60 and he would need to hire a digger etc. We are thinking day rate - if anyone has any experiance of this and knows the going rate pls let me know

Guy who built our stables and did all the groundwork charged £250 per day at that time - would now be plut VAT (wasn't registered at the time), that was for 2 guys arriving at 7:15 and leaving at 5pm but was 3 years ago

would imagine with building trade as it is you wouldn't have a problem fnding someone who needs the work.

Best bet is to ring a few for a quote - most will do that for free

I would reckon on £25 per hour plus VAT.

thanks - we have had an offer of 110 a day (for a month as have another fence to do too) for someone who built the school at a local yard (so we know his work) so will go for that
