Building a yearlings back end

Inky is a yearling now and is coming along great condition wise. At a miniature show last week it was mentioned that i might want to start thinking about building up his back end. Lunging was suggested but i really dont hink this is a good idea at his age. I occasionally take him upto the moors near us in the trailer and just take him for walks. There are several hills etc and wondered would hill work be enough to build his rear end? Any more suggestions bearing in mind he's only 30 inches!! ???

Hill work, hill work and a little bit more hill work!

I found it did the trick for my little ones - but at the end of the day you must remember that he is still only a baby so I wouldn't expect to see a huge back end on him anyway.

Judges just love you to interfere with nature and growing.

Leave him alone, and let nature do the rest. If he still needs a little help when he's three or four then you could do a little light strapping.

Unitl then - just let him grow naturally.
