Whats the best way?
I know a lot will say hillwork but I have zilch where my guy is kept so all other options please.

Had physio out and she has recommened lots of polework, currently I am just doing 4 poles in a line set at walk distance (hes currently under vets with toe drag/ poor condition). So I am gradually building him up so hopefully he can build lots of muscle to support his hindquarters and then in turn help alleviate the toe drag.

Ideas for pole work in walk would be great, as well as ideas to build topline when hes eventually in proper work :)

Hi

Work in long and low outline and plenty of exercises to improve the suppleness of the horse. Shoulder in , travers, etc
Most importantly ensure the horse works over his back.
Only move up to more advanced work once you and the horse are both comfortable.

Feed according to work and I find blu chip helps.
Consistent work and ad lib hay

Most important get into a routine and stick to it.

Its not the only way but it works for me

Best of luck
