bulge in sole

Hello
l have a pony with a bulge in the sole she is lame on and off some days she is sound Any ideas?

I would ask a vet/farrier to look at this as an emergency, worst case scenario it could be that the pedal bone has dropped. Get her onto a supportive deep shavings bed and restrict movement.

If you pick up the foot and look at the apex (pointed end) of the frog is the bulge just in front of there (towards the toe)
if you push the bulge is the sole hard or soft and squishy?

if that is where it is and your horse is sometimes lame I would either ring the vet or e mail them a pic of it.
It could be very important so I would do that pretty quickly and then follow the advice in post 3.
