I hope the child is ok and the parents question the wisdom of it as entertainment!! wonder if they had a look of helpless fear when said kiddie was under the bull, you have got to admit it's funny when there is a picture of the "brave" matador with a horn up his backside in the newspaper I wonder if it makes his eyes water or does the training in this "tradition" help him retain his composure1. I can't believe that some posters are pleased by this - a 10yr old child is seriously injured!
2. The video of the bull's jump reminded me of various recent photographs (in H & H perhaps) where firstly an event horse jumped over the ropes into the crowd, and secondly the same thing happened at a race. Perhaps there are closer parallels than we care to think.
I'm not a big fan of anything involving animal cruelty, obviously, but there's a fine line between respecting another country's culture, and campaigning for welfare.
