Should a cob still be very bum high at 6 years old? Do you think he will stay like this or has more growing to do? I thought that by 6 he would have finished! I'm not sure how to post a pic using an iPad!?!?!
It is very common for cobs to be bum high and remain that way. Part of the reason is their low withers, so it is not so bad as if a horse has normal or high withers but is bum high IYSWIM.
Hmm I wouldn't buy one still bum high, as personally I do t get on with the down hill feeling it gives. But some cobs do go on to develop more of a wither even at 9/10yrs
At six I will still expect him to be growing, so i would not worry about him being bum high. He still has plenty of time to level out. Traditional cobs really change shape and develop between 6/7 and can even still grow in to their 8th year.
