We have a just 5 year old connie x tb gelding.
He appears very immature and bum high to me still.
He is new to us and due to saddle issues and recent bucking is just doing groundwork and likely a vet work up.
Photos taken this weekend have made me wonder if this may be part of the issue.
Will try and send photo

When they are bum high (growing, rather than just poor conformation), it completely throws their balance off, makes saddles slide forward etc.

When my youngster was growing every time he went bum high he couldn’t balance to get his feet trimmed, and it took longer and more patience than when he was level.

Saddles digging in at the back are common with croup high horses and a common cause of bucking. Always a good idea to consider backing off a horse that has gone significantly croup high (balance, strength, straightness etc) and look at saddle fit VERY carefully when bringing back into ridden work, it's easy to be talked into a curvy tree which will have an incorrect rail shape for a native or native cross back.

I would work on anything that will improve posture, I have a groundworks links sheet I can email if you let me have your email address.
