well due to the rain i havent been able to go to an ODE for ages, at least 3 in a row have been cancelled (if not more! lost count

). I am in the area intermediate event team, which is on the 10th August at Broadway. My problem is, the last ode we did was a total disaster! i have managed to get to a xcountry course since then (about 2 weeks ago now) and she started off really badly (and i fell off

), but with help from instructor we where back on form by the end of the session. however we havent jumped xcountry since then, and there are no more ODEs between now and area- theres nothing on at all! and the weather isnt even set to improve so we wont be able to hire a xcountry course! really dont know what to do now

could realy do with at least one more confidence-boosting round before area but its looking pretty unlikely that i will be able to! although she is showjumping well which is a good thing i guess?

sorry just a rant about the weather really lol! i cant pull out of area and let my team down either

Broadway is quite straightforward so you should be ok. Practice some xc type fences in an arena.You can make corners and skinneys and put plastic under jumps like ditches.
I think you will be fine
 
I'm sure she'll be fine, she might have just needed a little brake.

It's not like she's a baby and needs to keep practicing all the time.

doesn't sound like you have much choice so just stay positive and remember how well you two are going with your SJ.

we are in the same boat! lol im also in intermeiad team for areas... but we dont actually know where its gonna be held as the grass hasnt been cut yet

it was ment 2 be on the 20th, but now its postponed till 31st!
