My horse has little bumps from head to toe. They are about the size bump that you would get from a nettle sting. They arrived on Monday and seemed to go down mid-week but were as bad as ever last night. I am thinking that he has probably had an allergic reaction to a bite as on Monday he had a couple of larger raised areas that looked like a normal fly bite. He seems a bit quiet in himself but otherwise OK. The vets are coming this afternoon but I just though I would ask if anyone has had a similar experience.

The vet is coming later today so hasn't seen the horse yet. On the phone just said as the bumps were so widespread and had been there for a while it was best to come and check it out.

A TB on our yard gets them and it was a pollen allergy. I thought i could have been the haylege because we got a slightly richer bale (although the horse only had one net)but she said it happens most summers and that it is when the pollen it high.
