These two little girlies came home today, they are about 9 weeks old. No names yet so open to suggestions, I usually go with a food theme for some reason...

They are in a temporary run at the moment but I'd like to build them a big walk-in one with lots of space and things to keep them occupied. So, a few questions....

Do runs need to have wire mesh on the floor? Will they dig out?

How high would a fence need to be to be fox proof?

I'd love to see pics of your rabbit set up if you would like to share please, I need some ideas!

They are very cute!
Mine are 9 weeks on thursday too :)
You will need mesh on the bottom- I put mine in a temporary run yesterday whilst I was cleaning the m out and faffing- the darlings dug out and hoolied about the garden within half an hour!
There is no fence that a fox cant climb. It will need a roof.
My bunny house is still under construction! I will post pictures when its finished :)

If you are doing a permanent run, then you can dig a trench round the edge of the run and set the mesh sides down into the ground, then refill the trench. Then you shouldn't need a mesh floor. I would set the mesh a good foot into the ground. I would put a top on it.

Lovely bunnies. :)
