My nutty horse has issues at shows, she is to busy looking at the burger vans and little children with icecreams to notice the jump infront of her :S and by tyme she notices the jump she gets under it and knocks the pole down or trashes it !!

i have tried to work on her consentation at home and she is perfect but at shows i cant really expect her to learn it with in 30 mins of warm up :s i was thinking about using blinkers or fluffy check pieces will they help ??..?

Don't think you're allowed to use blinkers lol (but I may be wrong!) However, I think that the fluffy things you can get for cheekpieces are supposed to aid concentration (again I may be completely wrong!)

fluffy cheekpeices would work yes, but also going to 100's of outings and working her out of the ring lots till she gets bored will too

How about taking her to some busy shows and not doing ANY competing. Just go and spend the day mozying about in the practice ring and standing about. She can then just absorb it all in her own time with no pressure etc. When I have youngsters Im about to back, I usually like to take them to 1 or 2 small-ish agricultural shows. I put them into an in-hand class so it's all nice and relaxed and lots of standing about so they can get used to it all. I then usually ride them about later on so they can take it all in under saddle.
