Burghley - anyone going?

as the title really - we've just booked our tickets. We make a trip every other year (would be too expensive otherwise!) and this year is it.

I'm very excited as is my sister. not sure my OH and my sister's OH are quite so though! My sisters OH is totally unhorsey, and mine just isn't a fan of anything that doesn't involve jumps (so the Friday is going to be interesting!).

Must book the campsite tomorrow!

Well last year I missed a day due to the rescue of Carrot & Spud.

Yes, I'll be there. We usually camp but have got *ahem* social issues to sort out first (two members of the group I go with cant stand to be in the same room as eachother so cant invite one but dont want to offend anyone blahblahblah!!). But whatever I WILL be there for XC day but hopefully will be there for the 4 days. BUTTTT with a bit of luck may even be riding there in the BYEH class with my 4yr old

yes, but I don't know what seating for the SJ will be like if you don't pre-book your seats!

Martlin - yes you can get tickets on the day/everyday for the SJ there is one part of the main arena you can watch from that you don't need tickets for - the best seats/views are prebooked tickets and sell out quite quickly.

Carrot & Spud are both doing really well - the rescue has had an outbreak of equine flu so the whole palce is in 'isolation' at the moment as I was going to go and visit them the other week as I was on holiday, for cuddles and polo donation. They are both back up to weight - there was nothing wrong with either of them other than other then needing the proper feed for oldies. The Rescue did a 3 page report on their rehab in their latest newsletter - they look fab.

Well it was a massive group effort - combined with the fighting spirit or two hoofed characters!! The last time I saw them they pushed me all round the paddock to get the polos - they practically inhaled them!!

We are going with the trade stand this year for the first time, very exciting. I haven't been for years but am really looking forward to it.

Ohhh, yes that would be lovely! And thank you for the good luck with BYEH - she is doing really well so *fingers crossed*. But don't worry, if I do qualify everyone in the world will know about it!
