Hi guys,

I'm in a bit of a huff as I've just found out that the xc day of Burghley isn't even being shown on the red button this year. All we get is two hours on sunday, including SJ. Boo BBC!

But the burghley website has the ability to register for burghley tv, which I think is a free streaming service. Has anyone got an experience of using it? Does it stream ok etc, I don't have the best internet connection (but thats what living in the sticks gets you!)

Thanks!

Umm I can't answer your question, just wanted to say i'd like to know how to watch it if it's being streamed too etc...
And the bit on the sunday, is that on BBC1 or on the red button or on some other channel?
I agree, the BBC really don't acknowledge equine events nearly enough - yet they play hours and hours and hours of darts and snooker (no offence to any darts or snooker fans :) ) We don't have sky or horse and country or any of the channels that often do major coverage of the events, I'd be so happy if the BBC decided to make it something all us people with ordinary tv packages could watch...

I have registered for Burghley tv but I did the same last year and couldn't get it to work for toffee so good luck!!

This all sounds a bit disheartening really. I have to say, seeing as how equine sport is something that britain generally is quite successful at, I am disappointed that more is not shown on free to air channels. We have to watch endless football and look at how good we were at that!!!

The register site is at http://www.burghley.tv/?BH. I think it's being shown on BBC2 at 2pm on the sunday.

If I remember rightly, Burghley TV was inundated with people registering last year and completely crashed! I managed to watch about 7 people I think from start to finish, and that, I feel is not good enough.
Lets hope this year is much better!
