2 (or 3) ways that this works.

1 (easy - thank you BBC!): If you have an EPG (electronic programme guide), look for the BBC Red Button Channels - mine is 301/302, OH's is 701/702 (older freeview box). BBC seems to have started putting details of what they are putting on the red button channels on the EPG. With a hard drive recorder/freeview box, you can select this item to record.

2. No EPG - you can set up timer record on most hard drive boxes - BBC red button coverage is on 2 channels only (unless you have sky) - you can set it to record both if you have the space,

3. Video from digi box - leave digibox on 301/302 (701/702) or other appropriate channel for your system. and set video to timer record from AV channel.

Will try and check and post which channel it's on on mine this pm if I can get at some internet access - just moved and no broadband so posting from work. Otherwise if you do have an EPG and the BBC red buttons listings worked during the Olympics, "horse trials" is listed at the appropriate time, and I'm sure lots of people would like to know which channel it's on!
