Thanks, i will wear my walking boots and the whole yard is going on a coach form Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk (?) to Burghley, a good 2 1/2 hours atleast i would think
 
im travelling from near newmarket so will take about 1 hr 30 to get there from my house if xc finishes say 6 to allow for any course stops you could be home by hlf 8 if ur lucky, coaches always take longer :)

and again some decent footwear so like walking boots, could do wellies if u like, but could get hot in these, im opting for my riding boots as these are long, so i wont be suffering with wet jean syndrome! and they are uber comfy!! :D

I'm from just outside Cambridge so takes me about an hour to get there/home, usually back about 7ish.

As for footwear I have just cleaned my hunters up ready to wear (so that in the small chance I bump into Oliver Townend he won't think I'm a dirty tramp & may be dazzled by my beautiful shiny pink wellies - a girl can dream?).

I am very exited, it's one of my favourite weekends of the year - and one of the most expensive due to my lack of self-control in the shops!
 
Does anyone know, if you turn up at about 4:30pm whether or not there are still people on the entrance to charge you to get in?

I need to get up to a couple of trade stands, don't live too far away but can't get there during the day on either Saturday or Sunday.
 
^ would you be able to walk to burghley? Just wondering if it might be better for you to do that and enter as a pedestrian. You enter & exit the grounds through the same gate and there may be some people leaving early, I don't think you could go against the flow of traffic!

Anyway back to the op, I'm expecting to be home by 6.30 is on Sunday. I live about 20 miles away and will leave shortly after the prize giving. On a good day I'd be able to get to Stamford in half an hour, but depends on the queues getting out more then anything!

I can't decide what to wear on my feet at all. Either my mountain horse short boots, my knackered old Dublin river boots or my hunters. My MH are by far the comfiest, but I'll be wearing my nice jeans so don't really want to risk them getting too muddy. My hunters rub the back of my heels and my river boots are so old and scruffy now it's embarrassing!

Think I'll probably go with my hunters and will cover my heels in plasters :D
