Just wondering what the venue/xc was like there (Snowball farm?) ? Thinking of trekking up there for the intro on the 18th August...
Anyone else planning to go?
The dressage is a trek from the lorry park and you have to cross a road not ideal in studs, the SJing in on a surface which is nice but quite tight when jumping Novice. And I thought the XC wasnt one of the best id seen, was nice fences just all very close together not really a galloping track.
Other people may love it but its one I will avoid if I can and go to Firle at that time.
I did the BHS open hunter trials qualifier there years ago plus did a hunter trial there about 2 years ago.
Really like it there, ground can be hard this time of year, but obviously not atm.
Hmm, reckon it will be about 2 hours drive - will have to borrow a trailer, as I'm losing my usual lift!
Am hoping to run at Firle too the weekend after - don't have anything else thats close enough/I can get to before B.Beeches, will put my ballot sticker on Firle though I think..I wonder if they will be oversubscribed with entries after all these cancellations.
Would like to get as many runs as I can, as I'm having to sell Barry before I go back to uni (unless I find a millionaire bf/sponsor!
I really like Burnham Beeches, it's one of my favourites. It's quite low key and the xc is just round the outside of fields but I like the atmosphere. It is a long trek to the dressage though.

I was up there today for BD and the ground is surprisingly dry, we were expecting muddy fields and lorries having to get pulled out but the gate ways were almost hard!!
However they may not be running if the rain continues as the dressage field is also their hay field and they have not been able to cut their hay so unless they get their hay cut there will be no BE event
I quite like Burnham Beeches - it's always well run and although the xc is a bit unadventurous there are some educational questions. I'm planning on going there for my mares first novice. At least I know the SJ wont be in a bog which mare hates!
I don't like Burnham Beeches from when we went there. The courses are fine but the place is just not somewhere i'd bother to go!!! The SJ warm up starts on the mud, then they let a few of you into a tiny arena then onto their big arena which i sn't the best surface and the dressage takes hours to hack to!!!
