I managed to sleep all night
I have secured my kitchen / half built dining area with baby gates etc and have left Burtie the puppy and my other dog Benji to have to run of that.
I encouraged them to use it yesterday and left the back door open and they settled there really well.
I have the cage in there too but open and both dogs last night settled and slept most of the night. Burtie used the paper to pee on once and asked to be let at at 5 this morning so all good.
No yelping and whining or barking at all until I shut him in the cage to have his breakfast and all hell broke loose again
.
The cage works when it is open as Burtie can get in there when the games get too much for him and Benji the older dog just can't fit so he is well out of the way.
I am so pleased that I have found a solution that seem to be working (fingers crossed) plus I feel much more human today after a good nights sleep!!!!
Thanks guys for all of your suggestion or advice its very much appreciated I am so loving the doggy forum
