Bush tail :S

My horse which i bought a year and abit ago had sweet itch but is now under control

< thank God!! but her tail has grown back in layers :S:S but curly layers :S:S Is there any way i could make the layers lay down or change my horses bush of a tail into a slender piece of tail

My friends horse and pony have curly wavey tails.

What I did was to create a nice pulled and banged look by using a clippersharp mane take down the side and then on the top of the tail. Then banged off with clippers and any other wavy parts were carefully trimmed into the tail using the rake.

Once washed, a little gel applied and then bandaged, they looked very smart. I was very pleased that when the pony won the WH class, the judge commented on the turnout - that kid owed me a lot of favours - I spend hours turning it from a shaggy native, mane, tail and legs into a sleek WH pony.

I have a tail rake from clippersharp, and i dont know what i'd do without it now. They are fantastic. If you give them a call, they will advise you on which one to get, depending on the type of tail which you are doing.
