I am starting up a business shortly and the name has been the hardest part for me. I think my final two are Everglen Equine Services and Idris Equine Services. Which one do you guys think is best? Or are they both a bit to weird? Thank you!

What does the company do?

I honestly don’t think the name matters at all. I almost veer away from equine/canine care that has fancy names. Your qualifications/experience/reputation counts for much more. Why not just use your name and equine services?

It doesn’t tell me what you do and both are quite wordy …
Well I plan to offer a ton of services so I need something broad enough that I'm not constantly changing it, and I plan to have a line underneath my logo that lists them, so hopefully that will help people understand better. Otherwise my name would eventually be ______ Lessons, Training, Nutrition, Dental care, Hoof care, Massage etc

That is definitely something to consider, but my last name is polish and hard to pronounce and spell so that felt counter productive

What about just your initials then? I think most people looking for lessons will just use the instructor’s name. They may look for it in a BHS register, for example.

If you are going to list your services then the “equestrian services” doesn’t really add anything… so I’d go with Everglen or Everglen equestrian (Idris makes me think of idris elba which is a nice thought but a bit distracting) …

Yeah, I've decided to drop Idris, lol. I mean in the logo and whatnot. So it'll be my logo that say Everglen Equine Services, and then underneath it'll list the things that I do.

I think if some of your services are someway in the future then I would concentrate on what you can offer now or it becomes misleading. So maybe just Everglen Equine Training. You can always add later.

Welcome to the forum. I just googled the names to see if they were already taken. How many forums did you post on, google comes up with at least three!

I would use either name but drop the "services", it's unnecessary and makes the name too long.

If you choose Idris and are young or haven't seen UK television, don't be surprise if people pronounce it with a Welsh lilt or start talking about fire dragons and tank engines 🤣

There are so many companies with "Equine..."! I struggle to remember which is which.
I'd have thought something that's you but is also a bit different would give you an edge. You would be more likely to be noticed and remembered, even if people can't pronounce it.

Or how about your real name spelled phonetically?
Silly example-
🐴Vooy-cheek equine training
Hi my real name is Caroline Wojcik, my qualifications are...
