Despite suffering from a hideous cold kindly donated by a snivveling little brat at school, I have, I think, excelled myself today.
7.30 AM Fire up quad and drive around checking sheep.
8.00AM Toast and coffee and ibuprofen.
8.15 AM out to the field to address the overgrown hedge. I had to climb up to top of hedge and there was nobody about,so had to use bow saw and secateurs rather than chainsaw.
10AM More coffee.
10.15 get horses in and go for a hack.
11.30. Turn horses out on track.
11.35 scotch egg and more ibuprofen!
11.40 Back on quad. Harrowed and overseeded winter fields.
1.20pm More toast and coffee.
2pm Back up the hedge. All done by 5pm and horses put in their summer field.
Then tidied up house. Lit the fire and cooked a meal.....just like normal.
Feeling quite proud of myself, although I am now walking around like an aged chimp and wondering if its really too early to go to bed.
