Bute clearance time

My horse has been on bute (equipalazone 4.4mg/kg/d = 1 sachet) for 12 days. How long will it take for effects to wear off to see if she's still lame? I think i've heard 72hr- is this right?

Yes that is the amount of time I allowed between lame testings and withdrawal.

Under the rules of racing it's 8 days and I think the same for FEI. Quite how long it stays having any actual effect on the horse I'm not sure.
