Pony has managed to get severe buttercup burn over the course of a fee weeks, despite constant coverage and cooling ointments of the area, it is still scabby and sore, some parts bloody skin exposed , covering his cheeks and part of his neck. I’m at a loss at what to do. Can someone help with any treatments that have worked for them - anything would help!

Is the pony male or female? It's male in your first post and female in your second.

I don't think buttercup burn on cheeks and neck is at all normal. My field is covered with buttercup and I've only ever seen burns around the lips, and not often at that.

Has it been seen by a vet?
