To the petty button pushers who had my thread about that poor horse being killed by a supposed horse lover deleted WELL DONE.

I hope your proud of yourselves. Naming and shaming goes on in this board all the time and it doesnt get shut down but a farrier kills a horse out of spite and you push the button.

Dont know how you live with yourselves. I thought it was a horrid situation for all involved and Im not even anywhere near the ares saw it and thought i might be helpful to people in that area incase it happened again.

Rather disgusted :(

I didn't see your thread however in regard to "naming and shaming goes on all the time on this board". It doesn't, it's not allowed and those who do start such threads almost always find they get deleted. As you seem to have found.

I didn't see your post but if the man has been prosecuted, then I can't see why the post would be deleted.

Has he been prosecuted and are there any news reports ? If not, I do sympathise with you, but its a serious allegation to make and the naming and shaming policy is there mostly to protect people from malicious or exaggerated accusations.

You could perhaps raise the issue again on here without making it possible to identify the person or specific area instead -or contact the WHW so they can investigate.

It's not just (or even so much as) to protect people from malicious or exaggerated accusations; it's quite reasonably about protecting IPC (H&H's parent company) from libel allegations.

I never understand why people post things they shouldnt be posting, and when it gets deleted immediatey do an 'OMG I cant believe someone pushed the button!!' thread

*If* this is the case Im thinking of, hasnt it only just happened? In which case you would be jepordising a court case with your 'nameing and shaming' thread, thats more disgusting to me than a 'button pusher...'

Whenever I see the words "name and shame", I'm on my guard. The internet is full of people telling bizarre tales (usually not first hand) and making allegations against others with very little evidence. Often it's a personal vendetta. Facebook has many "naming and shaming" groups, there's one which springs to mind, claiming to be about a horse being ill-treated by a loaner, which appears to be an excuse for adults to bully a 15 year old girl.

The OP's story may have been genuine, but how can anyone tell? Apart from the valid point that H&H needs to protect itself from legal action, these sort of stories are gossip and I'm glad they're not allowed.

There are correct legal procedures to follow in genuine cases. If the OP's story is genuine, I hope the people involved have taken appropriate action, rather posting slanderous tales on forums such as this.

Well said :)

Have you been given a reason?

"4.5 Anything that is placed onto the Forum must not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party or breach any applicable laws"

I don't really...understand :S I've seen hundreds of pictures from Dragon Driving on here. I was genuinely wanting to know about the clip :(

EDIT: Also, my video was moved, I wonder if someone was having a go at my posts XD

I've seen plenty, too, but either admin have stumbled on yours or someone's alerted them (not me...!). Brutal fact of the matter is that just because others are doing it doesn't mean you can expect it to slide if yours is raised or seen.

Unless he's been prosecuted, then of course the thtead will have been removed....

If a prosecution is pending and you 'name and shame' then you immediately jeopardise the outcome of the prosecution. British law. If OTOH he has already been prosecuted and there are articles in the press, then simply link to them and don't include names in your actual thread.

I am guessing this is the story that is bouncing about FB at the moment....

As the others say, the law has to be followed in situations like this, even though things might be moving too slowly for you.

You can't blame the owners of the board, they have their own interests to watch out for here.

Where is it on fb? I'm curious now... :D

A post appeared on a local horse page about what had happened. I won't link it because it has the persons name on there. The person who created the post has mentioned that they can't say too much now as it's going legal, so that's good, fingers crossed it all gets sorted.

I am GUESSING the OP of THIS thread is not the owner of the horse involved.
