buyer messing me around

Surely the horses best interests should be looked at, he will be taken care of, as for paying another week livery is like selling a car but paying to get it valetted so it looks nice, you dont get refunded for the valet.

Lesson learned if you sell another horse include a weeks livery in the price and tell the buyer if they take the horse before the end of the week you will reimburse them the livery cost.

no it isnt achinghips

i dont think anyone is really reading what i am trying to say

it doesnt matter anymore, please forget about it and go and pick on someone else

No one's picking on you OP. :) People are just not agreeing with you, which is quite different. :)

I'd honestly advise you to take a step back and ask yourself why that might be.

Thank you FionaM12, i will take a long look at myself in the mirror tonight

Im the sort of person that if i make an agreement, i stick to it. There are thousands of vets in England, im sure the buyer could get one of them to come this week, that way our agreement is not broken.

I turned down a lot of other people for this lady and have not shown the horse to anyone else on the agreement she was vetted this week.

Thank you Romany , the only sensible answer i have had
How bizarre!

Romany was explaining to you that things don't always go according to plan, OP. I'm glad that you understood her pov. I do hope the prospective buyer isn't reading this, If she is I wouldn't be surprised if she finds another horse with a more reasonable owner.

I agree that the buyer isn't a messer at all. Why should she pay an extra £100 to please you? It's not her fault the vets can't come out this week is it? I'm sure she'd jump at the chance if her vet said he could come tomorrow

Your choices are, as I see it

a) give the buyer back her deposit, and hope you can sell your horse within a week

b) pay the extra £100 for the closer vet to come out this week

c) suck it up and except the fact your horse will be with you an extra week

Tbh, I find it a little sad that you want shot if your horse so
quickly :( and if I was the potential buyer reading this, I would be pretty hacked off with you :/

Russianhorse, you dont know why ive dropped the price of the horse do you ?

You dont know my personal circumstances, so dont judge you stupid idiot

Op you do not stick to anything in taking the lady's deposit you agreed to sell her the horse within a reasonable time scale!
We are all reading what you write, just not agreeing with you.

The thing is I'm sure the buyer hasn't chosen to wait an extra week just to mess you around and break your agreement. Yes there is a vet available that would cost £100 more but at this stage she has no idea whether your horse will pass said vetting and if it doesn't that's an extra £100 off her horse buying budget (assuming she's anything like me!). Try to see both sides of this OP!

Lol - Brownie57 ...... I actually don't really care about your circumstances either - I would just take exception to being called a messer for not dancing to your tune. I think the 3 choices i put are pretty reasonable :D

I am beginning to realise the op is probably extremely young by this response. OP, really, take a step back please, insulting people who are giving genuine advice is not a good way forward. :(

Is this the horse that has kissing spines? In which case, I think you're pretty lucky to have found someone willing to pay £2.5k for him!

You don't seem to have much luck selling horses, you had problems with trying to get the cash from a buyer a couple of years ago.

I feel sorry for the buyer, I wouldn't pay an extra £100 either and they may of preferred the cheaper vet too.
I've rang a couple before for prices and preferred the sound of one with what they were saying.

There would be no guarantee the horse would of been gone if you had of let others come see them too in a week.

Quite a few people don't have transport so if your begrudging payin an extra week I doubt many people could arrange vetting and transport all within 7days. Especially as most transporters require a deposit, in which case if horse fails vetting they would loose too.

I think maybe more of an open mind was needed about realistic time frames.

Hi, the time frames were agreed with the buyer, she agreed to it. I havent changed anything, she has.

and no its not my horse with kissing spines, and he never did have kissing spines, he was xrayed and thank god it wasnt. he is not for sale and never will be.

i genuinely came on here for some advice and as usual with this forum, its all kicked off and everyone is getting nasty, ive seen it on here so many times before, this is the first time its happened to me. I will never come on here again.

ive taken all advice on board, i thank you all.

I'm sorry you feel like that. I don't think anyone's been nasty, they just haven't agreed with you.

If you only want people to agree with you though, you may be best to leave the forum as you say.

Good luck selling your horse. I hope he goes to a lovely home. :)

you sound like a small child who ha thrown her toys out of her pram because you havnt gotten your own way. next time get it in writing that the horse is to be moved within a week or suck it up and get over it maybe its pregnacy hormones talking but you need to grow up and blumming quickly!

here we go again, you people are nut cases

ive reported you all to Horse and Hound and asked them to remove me.

its nothing to do with me not getting my own way, how rediculous, i came on here for advice and some people have been very nice, but others are vile and nasty - obviously they have no life and get a kick out of picking on people
