I am in the market for a cheap horse (under £1000) Have seen a few, but in no hurry to buy. It'd mainly be for me to play with for a few years until my yearling is old enough to work - maybe to sell or maybe to keep - depends on the horse and if I really like it or not!
I have seen a lovely unbroken 4 year old arab x appaloosa and an 11 year old trakhener that has sat in the field for the last year due to lack fo time. And that has got me thinking - do I go for a youngster to back and bring on or go for something that is maybe a bit more sensible and has done it all, but is a bit older? Although I don't know if I will sell on, it is always a possibility that I need to keep int he back of my mind. Not sure what'd be best for me?
