Further to my post last week!

UPDATE!!!!: I went to see her today and I LOVED HER! They told me that she could be a bit funny being caught, well she came straight up to me and let me put her head collar on. I put her saddle and bridle on and led her up the lane and back for about a mile and she behaved fantastically. So then we tried a ride, she jogged a lot to start off with but soon settled down and we had a great time. Felt like fate, as I said, they family reconed that she can be a bit funny and to 'watch out for her a bit', well she loved me and i loved her, So............. I'm picking her up next Thursday and she's coming home!!! Really really exited

Shes sounds lovely, its great that you got on so well with her.

I'd ask afew more questions about why they say she can be abit funny and to watch out for her, did they tell you exactly what she does? id just want to know exactly what they meant so that i wasn't taken by surprise by anything after i got her home
 
Bought Little Lad from the field. Unhandled for most of the previous twelve months. I test rode him (briefly) and he was fine. Got him home. I rode him first, he bucked me off (took five goes

). He's the reason my youngest daughter gave up riding. Laminitic (they didn't tell me, and yes, he'd had it before according the my farrier), sweetitch, g!t to lead out, etc etc ec.

You may have a gem, you may have a dud. Just go careful hun

Wow you still got your horse MRS? I saw my horse in the field 4 years ago ,they said hes unbroken,doesnt matter I said.They bought him upto the stable and I was so happy .Anyway I had him 2 weeks later. Couldnt pick up his back lfeet or touch his back legs at all,was a monkey to catch but all has turned out fine.He doesnt like men much lol Wont let anyone catch him but me!!
So sometimes you can get a good buy!!
YOU NEED TO ASK WHY she can be funny!!
 
PB59 - oh yes, still have him - no other bobber would have him lol. Daft thing is, to hack out he's an absolute star. Ah well. He's now a happy eating machine, and youngest daughter has taken up scuba diving

sounds ace, but please be careful.

i had a very very difficult horse once, who i sold. i told the new owners EVERYTHING about her. she was a nightmare to catch, you had to sedate her fully to shoe/vet/load etc. she was very spooky/bargy etc etc etc...

they came to view her, she was having a 'good day' at the time and behaved very well. they thought it was fate (and that she was behaving because she liked them and wanted to go home with them)... they bought her, took her home, and six months later still hadn't managed to get on her/near her.

please be careful. they are trying to sell you a horse so if they tell you she's difficult, there's a real chance she is. not saying don't get her, just keep your mind open to it...

If I remember the OP's original post correctly, the owner of the horse has died, and the totally non-horsey family now need to move her on, and the horse hasn't been ridden for some time.

alibanni - glad it went well, hope the two of you have good fun together!
 
I brought 1 of mine straight from the internet, so far to drive turned up with the box, girl said she can be a moo to catch and you will always need an apple, and a cow to load she proved right on both counts on the day but i still brought her home that night.
She is now in a field with 8 of my other horses and she is the one that comes up for a cuddle first no prob catching ( i do it every day so she dont mind) is easy to load still a moo if stood still but once vehicle is moving no prob.
So yes you could have a brill horse or not but time will tell, good luck hope it all turns out well for you
