Buying a Horse with an Umbilical Hernia ? WWYD ?

Enquiring on behalf of a friend. .. Would you buy a 4 year old gelding (Irish Sport ) that has an umbilical hernia?

Your opinions and experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a foal with this and had her operated on, all turned out ok and she turned out to be the best horse i ever had x

Yes, but the cost of having the hernia operated on would need to be factored into the price. But that's assuming I was not interested in breeding. I'd also get the horse gelded if a colt and, if a mare, I'd make sure the op was noted in the passport.
