I have been looking for a second hand butet for ages it has to be 18 inch (which seems quite rare) I have found one, but I am not sure if it is over priced in the current market. Has anyone else had any experiances with buying them second hand?

I bought a 2nd hand (8yr old at the time) XC monoflap saddle a few years ago and paid roughly £1100 for it. It was immaculate and had just been back to the factory and had new latex put in and new girth straps etc. I got it from Sederholm but similar saddles were going for similar prices on ebay at the time and the Sederholm service was superb.

I looked in vain for a 2nd hand 18" flat seated dressage model within my budget (<£1000) for about 6 months before I gave up and bought a Jaguar XKC. They seem to be very thin on the ground.

They are quality saddles and seem to hold their value 2nd hand.

They are amazing. I got my (XC monoflap) one for a verrrry reasonable price, but it was being sold by the husband who's wife divorced him and left all her stuff when she ran away abroad with a younger man! He just wanted to get shot!

They do hold their value. They are amazing. I too am desperate for a dressage, but cant find one. They are truely great.

Alot depends on the age and condition. I dont think the "current market" applies to Butet. They are always desirable and they will always fetch a good price. Would you like to PM me (if you dont want to put it on here) with the age and condition and I will tell you what I would value it as (i am not qualified, but a serial Butet shopper / dream shopper!). Or look on Selderholm for a similar saddle and look at their price and then take a hundred or two off considering you srent buying from them.
