I sold my welsh section a show pony ( the one in my avatar ) last september as i was no longer showing and the kids were not interested in riding.
I made sure he went to a lovely home, it was a heart breaking sale but i was told i could go and see him whenever i liked, so that made it a little easier.
So today a get a text message saying they are moving yards and that there is not enough room for all of the horses and would i like to buy Billy back.
So hopefully he is coming home on friday, she says he's got a huge belly on him at the moment, so gonna have to work on getting him a little trimmer. Im REALLY looking forward to him coming home.

This is me with him at his first show 2 years ago, we were in a class of 15 for best conditioned and we came 1st. which was such a shock.

He's a special boy to me as i bought him as an untouched 4 year old still entire, he wouldnt come anywhere near anyone but we worked through it and in the end bonded really well.

Thanks he didnt have the best start in life, we got him from the local horse market, he was petrified of people, we didnt want him to go from home to home, thats why we are buying him back, dont know what we are going to do with him yet as he is not fully broken and we have nobody small enough and able enough to ride him.

I bought my pony back after 2 years away, he went round 3 homes and when i found out i was heartbroken and couldnt wait to have him home and am so happy i got him back. Lucky ponies!

ahh bless, we did the same thing this year, sold daughters welsh 'A' 5 years ago, then decided this year we wanted to buy him back, luckily owner agreed and over to Spain he came!! and is now happy bossing around my 2 entire appaloosa colts!!!

ps we are going to start driving him again

Definitely drive him!! Driving is great as you have to take a friend and it is relaxing but he must be really good in traffic.

My sec B in sig is broken to drive and its lovely to go out on a summer evening on a lazy drive!!! Go for it

would make a wonderful driving pony...driving needs a patient and good in traffic horses/ponies...
I still have my little pony - 12hh appaloosa leopard spotted pony who has a parrot mouth and is completely bomb proof although a little naughty at times could never sell her.
I have had her for 17 years now and I know what you mean about it being heartbreaking to sell him. I can not imagine doing it myself...I broke her into harness when she turned 22 as she would not retire and would jump fences constantly out of boredom...She is now 30 and she is quite happy eatting in the field with my youngster Charly - 16hh palomino. I have been taking her out on rides with me - hubby leading her while I ride charly who has learnt so much from her and is no longer a pain when riding out solo...he used to scream constantly...
The carriage driving would be great for your little chap...he would do really well at shows, plus it is great to have a variety apart from just riding.
