Buying DVDs from the US...

Does anyone know...

I want to pre-order the new Buck Brannaman film from Amazon (dot.com not dot.uk) but it says the DVD is 'region 1' encoded.

I haven't a clue what this means, will it not work over here?

For the UK you need either Region 2 or Region 0, other regions will not play on our equipment.

I'll let you know if I can find anymore info.In the meantime check your player indtructions.I know when buying mule videos I was always being told they wouldn't play in europe but I always chose TV's that could play them so had no trouble
