Where are people buying from these days? I guess with all the weight loss jabs it isn't so popular but I'm struggling to get any of the online pharmacies to come up with stock.

Vet out tomorrow so I'll ask them to give me a quote as well but last time they were double the price.

I get my local pharmacy to order it in. I gave then the prescription for it, and let them know 2 days before I need more, so they have time to order it.

The cost was the same as any online and much more convenient.

I need a new script for the next lot, but hoping latest bloods will allow to start titrating down the amount.

I hadn't thought about asking the local pharmacy!! I'll drop them an email.

Vet has quoted £120 for 30 tablets (15mg) which is twice the price of the one place I have found online.

She gets dossed at 600kg so not cheap. Unfortunately retired, an extremely good doer and no off button

Ive just paid £195 for 3 tubes of paste as apparently my vets don’t rate the tablets😕
I had paste first time round. Tablets for me since then.

My pharmacy will order them and think they'll be about £50 a box which is brilliant. I drive past the pharmacy every day so easy. Thank you @Britestar i hadn't thought of asking them
Be interested to know too.
Got mine from vets at £82 for a pack
Try your pharmacy!

For the sake of a couple of pounds, I'm happy having the convenience of picking them up. 😊
It wasn’t a couple of pounds more expensive that the pharmacy quoted: can’t remember figure but they were approx £20-30ish more expensive than the vet price. I wás surprised as I’d expected them to be more in line with the online (hyperdrug) price. I wonder if they made an error, after reading this thread.

I've been paying £40 +VAT for a syringe from the vet. He's only a mini so doesn't need much luckily. Just awaiting blood results to see if he can come off or not, and will look into prescription if he needs more. Hadn't thought of the pharmacy.
Although he's a pain to get to eat tablets, whereas he loves the syringe.

There is a licensed version coming on the market later this year, at which point all vets will be required to use that version when prescribing ertugliflozin. Presumably the internet veterinary pharmacies will stock it, so there will still be the opportunity to obtain a written prescription and shop around for the best price, but we will not be able to prescribe the human form (steglatro) or the Bova paste after that except in exceptional cases.

Eeks - or not, depending on cost.

Will that affect canagliflozin (invokana), too? Expect it may do.

I was using the 100 ml pots of paste, but it's so awful in use (lid difficult to get off, then messy trying to syringe it out), that I've switched to tablets. Canafligozin seems to be substantially cheaper in my case (in terms of dosage required & therefore number of tablets per day) than ertugliflozin, so I've just started on that.

Oh no! IME licensed versions always seem to be more expensive :(

They are, because it costs to get licensed and there are requirements to be met but it demonstrates the drug is a certain level of effective and safe for the target species. It's a good thing albeit less good for bank balances
