I was just wondering how risky it would be to buy a pony from auction? Have you ever bought from auction and was there anything wrong with the horse you bought?

Also what sort of prices are unbroken ponies going for now?

Just got a teenage Arab in poor condition for £450 in Feb and hes gorgeous now, with a fantastic cheeky personality. He needs alot of work on the ridden side of things as he thinks that he is a giraffe (extremenly ewe necked) well worth £450 quid though.

Oh, make sure you check the markings in the back of the passport match the horse you've bought before you take it away because mine had a dodgy one

You are less likely to find a nightmare if you go for a youngster, older horses are there for a reason but youngsters more common to auction and there may be nothing wrong with them at all.

Prices, depend on breed, age, bloodlines, everything!
