I just wanted to add something to my previous post. When we were driving back from Goresbridge, we drove through a town called "montesterevin" or something similar!, and we saw a sign for a horse fair. We pulled in and had a walk around. It was definately full of what most might call Traveller types, and it was quite intimidating. Lots of hairy types tied to wagons, foals roaming free. All horses covered in muck, and being led around in groups of 5 or 6. I could imagine most english horse owners would be horrified by what they would see there. However, there was not one that looked underweight. I saw no miss-treatment.
There are too many generalisations, and uninformed opinions about irish dealers. Like everywhere else in the world, there are different types of horse, and different types of dealers. Good dealers, and rogues.
Dont tar everyone with the same brush...It just makes you look stupid!
