Hi All,
Just need a rant!
Im currently looking for a horse to buy and Im having a nightmare!!!!arghhhh
I personally dont think that Im asking for a miracle but it seems that I am!!
Im looking for a 16.3 plus pref gelding that will carry some weight (yes I have seen the fat riders posts!, Im not that huge), between 5 and 12, that is not silly, has 3 good paces, has no vices and is healthy, and wont cost me more than £3500.I must state that I would take on something that had "quirks" or needed some work, Im not asking for a push button machine! This is proving to be very difficult.
Firstly no one answers their phone when you call to enquire, if they do the horse is always sold. Then if you do manage to find one that is still for sale, you go see it, and it is nothing like described! I have been to see a few over the last few weeks and can still find nothing. I did find what I though was a great horse, though still overpriced for what it was, had it vetted yesterday and it failed due to a heart murmer, so the search continues.
One i previously saw I liked, said to owner I would like it vetted and she then proceeded to lose my number(apparently) and then the horse went lame (apparently), something didnt quite add up at the viewing so guess I should not have been surprised!!!!!!! And I have not heard from her since!
And why are horses so overpriced? Just cos the current owner thinks their horse has potential (based on what I have no idea) they bump up the price by an extra 2k, grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Is anyone else having this problem????????
Thanks for letting me have my rant!
