So a link keeps popping up on my facebook from a page called Master Dressage. They are advertising online lessons (for a fee) and I wondered if anyone had used them.

I am always trying to improve my riding and don't have a lot of lessons at home. I event and have ridden for 30 years but I wondered if these were just basics or if they were more in depth?

The link is below......any opinions would be gratefully recieved :)

I've seen some less than impressive information coming from their FB page.

They've been discussed here before and I think it was said the guy has only competed at intro, although I'm just repeating what I read on here.

They are very basic. Mastering riding basic test movements etc. The guy who wrote it specifically said it was for up to Novice Dressage.

Just checked bd history for him and yes only one intro result for this guy x

There are some very good teachers out there who may not have competed at the highest levels. If their talent lies in teaching, rather than performing (often true in the musical world as well) then they may not be interested. And some of the most talented people who 'do' can't teach for toffee, as they have no idea how to teach. I don't know if that's the case here, but just throwing it out there.

I have his books, and just on a glance through, they do look pretty good for describing the basics.

I definitely make you right however as qualified as I could be to teach I'm not sure I would make myself a website or teacher called master eventing having only ever been round a be 80 !
