Buying raw in bulk....

Does anyone do it? When I say in bulk, I feed 2.5kg of raw per day, so would be ordering 75 kilos per month.

At the moment I get it from a local abbatoir/butcher, but I am considering swapping to one of the online companies, but none of them seem to cater for that sort of volume? It would work out at 150 packs per month (assuming 0.5kg or 1/2 lb packs)

Yes I do from Manifold Valley Meats.

Their mince comes in 1lb or 3lb sausages.

Yes I do but not as much as you buy, friends buy it off me when it comes in so buy a fair amount.

i feed 6kg a day and i order a months worth from berriewood

I normally spend up to £60. I don't think he covers your area, tho.

Thanks for the replies I know all the suppliers already but noticed on one websites that their delivery prices stopped at 100 packs when I need 150, so wasn't sure if they dealt with larger orders.

I agree s4sugar, I dont think it is much either, but I got the impression the online companies tend to cater for pet owners with one or two dogs

my last berriewood order was for 180kg (3 massive boxes) and delivery to north scotland was £4.99

Ooooo interesting - I had discounted Berriewoods as their products are relatively expensive, I can see I'm going to have to sit down and add up total cost including delivery

really? i found them one of the cheapest, the minces i get work out about 54p per 500g.
