I currently buy seaweed in a 2kg tub (around £7). I believe that significant savings can be made by buying this by the sackful. Can anybody recommend a good and reasonably priced source? Thanks!
Thanks Lilym - £28 for 25kg is a great price. Do you use it yourself? I presume that seaweed is seaweed and therefore all would be of similar quality?!!
When we bought our new pony she had always been fed it and we just carried on her routine. However, I believe that it is particularly helpful with maintaining strong hooves and a shiny coat!

I know nothing at all about this particular seaweed, but please do be careful. We used to feed seaweed regularly and when our usual supplier ran out we bought an unbranded bag. It caused endless problems, when the horses went absolutely loopy and dangerous to even lead. Our vet thought that it must have been that the seaweed was harbouring some kind of mould which had made them all ill. The seaweed had appeared to be fine and I can only assume that the usual smell had masked any abnormalities.

Charnwood milling is a reputable company and unlikely to be selling anything that isn't safe to feed - their feed/supplemnts go through strict quality control procedures.
