Would you? Have you? I know someone on here who has bought a lorry very successfully off ebay. I sold my trailer earlier this week and now need transport - I either want a 510 or a 7.5 tonne lorry - but the buget is similar for both LOL!

I sold our old TK on ebay....and then bought a lovely little Leyland on there a bit later on, so yes, I thnk it's fine, obviously if you check out the seller's feedback and rating. I would still go to view it first though, if it were me; this may restrict the ones you are able to show interest in, if you dont wish to travel!

i think it is a cheap way of advertising your lorry/trailer. i have never actually bought but did see my old lorry on there for sale.

I have recently bought a lorry off ebay and it's excellent. Would highly recommend the seller to anyone.

However we did look at another lorry adv on ebay - it was absolutely rotten and we did not buy it.

Guess it's like anything, there are always honest sellers and those who like to play with the truth a little bit

I bought my fab cheap lorry off e-bay and would do it again.
People were really nice and didn't mind me going and having a good look before end of auction. I found it a very easy way to buy.

I bought my ancient, ugly but reliable lorry through eBay. I would NEVER buy one unseen though.

I have just sold mine, on there too its a great way to get to a wider area in advertising than in your local paper etc, and so many people tend to use it these days, I would recommend it !

We bought both our lorry and our trailer from ebay. No-one bid on the lorry so my dad contacted the seller after the auction finished, went to see it and bought it for half the starting price. The trailer was on the scottish border so we didn't see it first but it's in fantastic condition and was a great bargain.

I bought a newish IW on Ebay and it was great, didnt view it first as it was only 18 mths old. I sold my Richardson on there with no problems. However I did view one older trailer before buying the IW and thank god I did, it was described as old but excellent condition, it was a death trap.
I hopefully will be in the position to buy a cheaper wagon soon and I too am a bit wary as I dont really know what Im looking out foor apart from the obvious. I just remember a man off my old yard buying a cheap box and on the way home the brakes went and he smashed into a parked car to stop!! From the outside the box looked quite nice so its quite worrying.
I dont think I would buy a wagon unseen.

I sold my old lorry on Ebay and will be listing my lovely Renault Dodge 50 which I bought on ebay about 14 months ago, which I have to sell due to the Ken Livingstone's low emission zone and Finn's bum is a little to large and then hoping to buy a trailer

I bought my trailer on there for £90 - it needed a new floor, some welding work and a paint job. Because we did most of the work ourselves the whole thing ended up costing us £250

Sold the towing vehicle tho so it doesn't get used anymore
