Buzz Had a horrific accident today, (Pics inside)

Obviously buzzby will be out of action for a while, would you suggest taking his shoes off? He is due for shoeing this week but Kay would rather he wasn't tied up for a long period of time with his stitches in, she's happy to hold him to have them off but after a week of not doing much he is likely to be difficult once bored!! Any thoughts??
What about using bridle taking off noseband and head band for his comfort. Will be more comfortable than head collar.Poor lad hope he feels better soon:(

Ouch, poor Buzz hope he heals quickly. Could your GF hold him with something round his neck when the farrier comes and bribe him with treats to avoid anything on his head for now maybe?

She has bought him a very soft head collar which is big enough to sit below where the stitches are, she's going to ring the Farrier who she has been frinds with almost 20 years and they will decide between them what will be best, She took him for a stroll in hand today and said he was well beahved and bright like his normal self, I shall pop in to see him tomorrow and get some more pictures, i think she's doing a daily photo diary to monitore his progress too. As horrific as it was we realise he had a very very lucky escape and could have be so much worse, Kay has said she is not at all bothered by any scaring he may have because her Lad is still alive and has full vision :D
Keltic how did you mare hurt her face? hope she is doing ok today.

I think I reconise this Horse, Was he at a yard in Nazeing ? There was a Buzz there, that looked just like him and owners name was Kay! moved form the yard not too long ago.

Pm me if you would prefer.
