Buzz's eyes, Stupid me, poor Winnie and OUCH!

So the lovely Jason from RVC came out today, Buzz had his eyes tested and other then age related changes he's eyes are fine. 95% vision which is better than mine most likely!! So so happy he is ok ������. I stupidly didn't lunge Win before getting on today which I should have done as she was clipped out today. I got on her from the mounting block on the yard as always but the delivery truck was parked next to it, so a tight squeeze. As I asked her to walk on she caught her leg on the mounting block, spun and took off leaping and bucking. I tried with no success to pull her up, after the 3rd buck I hit the concrete yard, head first and landed on my side. Massively bruised ribs, and a head ache. The girls on my yard cant be praised enough! They recused me, caught and checked Winnie over, called my mum and sent me home. Finishing off the ponies for me. Gently kicking myself for being a fool and not doing what I know I should with my hungry hippo.

for poor you taking a dive onto concrete, keep an eye on your headache and i hope you feel better soon, i did it myself the other day , it bloody hurts and i had an extra elbow for a week! xxx

I am over the moon about my BuzzeBee, Win is sedated for clipping and by the time I finished, she was 90% awake and didn't move a muscle or react at so proud of her! It's the first time I've come off her and totally my fault. Upset I scared her and worried she wont trust me anymore ��

Yes wearing my hat, i dread to think what state i'd been in without. i always wear my hat to ride. Head ok thank you.

You have reminded me to take care on the first ride after clipping. Hope you feel better quickly. I think a new hat may be required too.

I love my friends, they have done Buzz and Winnie for me today. I'm aching and sore, at home keeping warm and have a hot water bottle on my ribs. My instructor is riding Winnie for me tomorrow, as soon as I can move more freely I'll be back on board. ETA with a new riding hat.
