This is him at the weekend, and me...im 5ft 7 so not short and you can see how his legs and face are turning grey.

Cuddling my new rescue lab cross husky baby (you might remember i posted about my friend who wanted a husky, she got him and after a week decided he was too much so he has made himself home at mine and is perfect bless him so calm and well behaaved)

Never seen so many pretty dogs in one post, your boy looks more like a bearded collie x sheep dog doesn't he?:eek::D he is lush, the puppy is also gorgeous, and the lab has lovely eyes, not a lab person, but she is gorgeous.:)
 
Agree with Cayla, stunning dogs but I am very very taken with large shaggy dopey boy...he is really really lovely!
 
What lovely dogs. I certainly wouldn't have said he had any GSD in him, as Cayla says looks more like a beardie cross. Just goes to show you can never predict what will happen when you cross 2 breeds. He certainly is going to be a big lad, was the mum a big bitch?
 
The labs not mine I just look after her and her eyes are really peculiar! Quite nice though everyone comments, she is very naughty though!

On my phone at the moment so when I'm home I'll put up a pic of his mum, she's not big no quite small actually but really pretty. Everyone asks if he's a bearded collie! But he does look like one although is bigger already then the one we know who be plays with.

He says thankyou for all the comments; were dog sitting tonight an extra 12 week old and 8 year old liver flatcoats. They are gorgeus!! All flat out though as knackered from all playing!
 
Oh i see, she is pretty :) I thought she was quite small, what sort of size are GSD's meant to be then? Druidswood sounds very familier and i cant see where ele i would hear it so very possibly. Is that good? She was so sweet when i met her; was all cuddly and giving paws and rollling over; very obedient.

LL yup i agree! However very dopey...neither my puppy whos 8 months or his dad, in pic, cock their legs thats waaaaay too much effort for an old english!
 
She just looks very typical of the type produced by the Druidswood kennel, particularly her colour and expression. Sadly the lady who bred them has passed away but I am sure there are plenty of her lines still in pedigrees. Gsd bitches should be a maximum of 60 cm to the wither.
This was a Druidswood, though a male so different in the head.

I have a copy of her pedigree somewhere i'll have a look. Oh her colouring is very similar to his, he is stunning. Well its nice my crossbreed puppy is part druidswood :)

Oh right i would have assumed bigger going by some of the GSD's i've seen wandering about.

Hi thankyou he honestly is the most amazing dog ever! The people I got him from are thinking of breeding them again this year as the puppies were so lovely, you would be the 4th person interested. She's always said she wouldn't breed unless she had homes planned. Where abouts are you?

they make a marvlous pet the mix is wonderful i had my boy for 7 years he died of bloat !!
very sad and i would love another one if you have e-mail address i will send u some photos not sure how to put them on hear ...........
if they are prepared to breed i would snap one up no problem...

Me and OH have just filled out adoption forms for another OES from a rescue.......... I havent fully moved in yet and we might have two dogs soon eeeek. This is dangerous.

Aww! What breed is your other dog? Good luck with the OES :) Im sure two dogs will be perfect especially when moving house hehe!
 
Its only me, horses and guinea pigs that actually have to up and move (end of next week argh) OH and puppy already live in the house.

We have a rottweiler x St Bernard Puppy at home, long story. It was a we couldnt say no situation and we had, had a bit of a pants time with rescues, we werent actively looking for a puppy but we were looking for a large breed. Hes 14weeks now and a total star.

OH lost his OES through relationship break up and has decided that they they are definately his breed, so we are in persuit for another now.
 
Your puppy sounds amazing! What parent does he take after?

I've always wanted an oes but is hard to find them at the moment, and the vet recommended a crossed one as oes can have quite bad problems? But good luck with moving and the new dog!! They'll be a lovely couple of dogs!
 
I'd actually prefer to see a lovely bitch like that be put to a nice GSD male with good health test results, she is just my type..small, clean limbed and GREY!....just my opinion (runs and hides :p)

PS outcrossing/cross breeding does not eliminate hip problems, despite what the vet may say....
