Sold my Ifor 505 trailer this week and am going to take my driving theory test, then some intensive lessons and then my towing lessons/test! Hopefully by the end of next year, I will be driving and towing myself.

I get fed up with relying on people so when I pass my towing test, I'm going to buy a single Ifor 401 trailer as our 2ltr diesel car can tow that no probs with my TB in it (I checked the towing weights, etc).

I'm so excited about it all! :D

I infer from that you are going to take the car (B) test followed by the B+E test?

I ask as it seems odd you had a trailer without any driving licence = strange !!

As you are in my area I would suggest DATA ACADEMY for the B+E

Have you chosen an ADI instructor for the basic car training ?

Many vehicles have weights which allow a B only driver to tow a HB401 (usually downplated) without having to pass the B+E

I had a trailer as my friend had a 4x4 and she couldn't afford to buy a trailer so we shared my trailer and went places together. Unfortunately, like many things in life, they go badly pear shaped (things said, feelings hurt, etc).

Yes, going to get my B and then do my B+E as then I'm not tied down by which car I can drive and tow with.

I've not chosen an instructor yet as I am still shopping around for intensive lessons. If you have any suggestions, please let me know :) I've had around 100 lessons but gave them up in 2008 as it was costing me £100 a month and I was not improving.

Can't wait to be able to go to shows myself! :D
