I have just sent off my BD membership (for the first time)

and was wondering about the BYRDS side of things.
I can't really find much about it on their website and was just wondering if any one knows what it involves and how I can get into it all?
Also how hard is it to get into a team and how much training and commitment does this take? I think I'd be in the junior section (17 this year) and although haven't done any affiliated, I've been getting good scores at BE, riding club etc. As for BD, I'd probs be competing at novice level and working toward elementary. Does it sound realistic that I'd be able to get involved with it? Coz I really have no clue!

Thanks for your replies (if i get any lol)

Hi,

BYRDS is really fun and very very good for your riding! You need to call your regional co. who's number will be in the back of the BD mag and speak to them. They will tell you when the next training session is (BYRDS training is subsidised to so even better) and you just go along, meet the trainer have a lesson and take it from there. Our BYRDS used to run a camp in the summer. You don't need to go to every training session, just those you can get too. Good luck! they really are a friendly bunch so don't be scared of getting involved!

i was going to post the exact same thing the other day funnily enough. sorry to hijack, is the regional training the same as the byrds training as i have a list of regional training dates and was a tad confused?
