Hi all,

Well I'm all excited as I'm off to my first BYRDS training day on sunday :D YIPPEE!!

However I have no idea whether there's a dress code, or expected turnout?

Should I wear beige/white jods? Plaited pony? etc. etc.

Many thanks if you can help me :)

Hi, my boss is a BYRDS trainer so we run BYRDS training at the yard. The dress code seems to be 'smart-casual'. I have seen ponies plaited but it's not expected. I think the main thing is that you and your pony/horse should be clean, tidy and presentable. So you might not have to wear beige jods, but don't wear scruffy jeans jods and sloppy boots.

Hope this helps and you enjoy yourself on Sunday :)

I did a few a couple years ago and it was smart-casual. I just wore my beige jodpurs, collared shirt and waistcoat thing :) Horse wasent plaited but wore white bandages :)

don't plait - not necessary. Re dress - do think beige breeches are preferable, but with whatever top and colour-co-ordination you think suits you. Not show gear at all, on an invite it would be 'smart casual' . If some other peeps on the day do 'bling' just ignore it. Have fun!
