Wanted to enter a C&T intro B at my livery yard next week, only to find out that the intro is
1 being judged by a member of staff (which seems unfair as surely should be impartial)
2 is being held in either a flooded deep outdoor arena or if weather is bad an indoor ménage that isn't nearly 20x40 m
3 is still the same price as all the other classes.
4 when pointed out to the staff that the 2 options of arena were inadequate got head bitten off!
Maybe I am being bitchy and over dramatic, but if I showed up at a show off of the premises I would be fuming and would ask for my money back.
All the other classes are being held in the proper arena by a proper judge, but surely if the intro class is a C&T qualifier then the rules/ conditions should still be the same, spent a lot of money on lessons to practice as pony really isn't a school master and all feel it was for nothing, am I over reacting :(

Erm I would say a bit of an over reaction, your lucky you're in the position to know the going is less than ideal.

Don't view the training as money wasted, on going training will benefit you for future competitions

The pony is retiring next year lol :( I know not to do it as arena is far far too small but feel for those who pay money to become C&T member only to find facilities are shocking

I understand it will be the same for everybody in the class, what I didn't understand is why all the other classes are using the adequate arena yet we are all paying the same money. I've dropped out anyway, don't want to risk her legs as already had suspensory ligament damage. We are going to pay the extra money and go to bury farm instead :)
