Where do you get yours from? Been looking in local feed merchants to no avail, where do you order yours from? Have seen a couple of suppliers on internet but as I've never ordered before a bit wary so need some advice.

My local Agri feed store. Not a horse one, it's given to cattle and sheep.
Thanks B-B - that's the one I looked at... thanks for vote of confidence..

Amandap - yes so I thought, but only one near me is Frome and nothing there...

Ringing them is a good idea - cheers! :)

I feed Mag ox rather than calmag, more expensive but higher concentration so you feed less.
I get it direct from Equimins and it's about £25 for 5kg.
Not listed on their website though, you have to call and get the pricelist.

Magnesium Oxide (Mag Ox Heavy) 900g Calmer

£11.99 + £2.49 p&p

It usually arrives withing 5 days - we have used these people for several purchases and they have been fine. I would recommend it - we used it for our mare when she was on 4 months box rest - it worked for us.

I'm trying to find cal mag as mag ox is known to be less bioavailable. I'm trying to get the 2:1 ratio as much as poss and Calcined Magnesite is more natural and seems more bioavailable to the horses and ruminants system. This is what I am led to believe through research (so far anyway... the more you learn, the less you know and all that).. your thoughts?

We tried Cal Mag - our mare refused her feed because of it - she would rather have starved than eat it.
The Mag Ox there is no problem with - maybe it's just her but that's mares for you

Im another vote for natural horse supplies I buy all my supplements from them, great to buy and get delivered quickly.
