Calcification of annular ligament putting pressure on tendon?

Little Flair has to go to "horspital" in a week and a bit for an operation to hopefully fix this, but I was just wondering what they do (I like to learn about vet things ) and if anyone has any experience of it?

I imagine the surgery will be an annular ligament desmotomy - this involves making a small skin incision and cutting through the annular ligament to release the pressure it is applying to the tendons. There are several ways of performing it - through different types of skin incision, or by keyhole surgery - which are used in different situations. If you want to know more you can always ring and ask your vet.
