Does anyone know if anyone's ever calculated how much grass (kg/hr) a horse is likely to be consuming when out grazing?

Just wondered since mine is out 6 hrs per day in a very large field with decent winter grass in it and I'm wondering how much forage she is likely to be consuming whilst she's out.

Obviously it wont be as nourishing at this time of the year but it would be interesting to know (vaguely at least) how much her time grazing in winter contributes towards her daily forage consumption.

Anyone know?

I'm sure I read somewhere that a horse 15-16hh would eat 50kg of grass in 24 hours in summer giving approximately 10kg dry matter and that a horse would graze or about 18 of those hours. In winter it would be probably 15-20kg....
