Those who wear Caldene breeches - how do you find the fit?

I'm in need of some new breeches and have spotted some Caldene ones on Equestrian Clearance which look nice. I'm usually a size 8 in "normal" clothes and breeches - am I likely to need to go up a size?

Thanks :)

I like Caldene breeches and always find them a good fit; usually take a size 32 which is just about right as I'm a classic size 16.

Which type of their breeches are you considering buying OP?? May I advise against the "Belgrade" ones; i.e. the ones that have the high waist and sticky-bum seat.

They're fine.......... but only for the first half hour to 45 minutes of riding, then by gahd the stupid lumpy seam that they've put right under the crotch really makes itself evident and you'll feel like ripping the damn things off PDQ. Trust me, don't be tempted - I bought a pair and rode in them for a Pleasure Ride first time out (OK stupid, I know), and bleddy h@ll it was anything but "pleasure" to be sure.

Just a word to the wise..

Most of mine are Caldene. I'm a size 12 and wear a 28" so I'd say the sizing is accurate. They've been very good and fit nicely.

I have two pairs of Caldene Madrid, which are accurately sized, very good quality, and supportive. I like them so much that I haven't worn any of my other breeches since I bought them.
